With a career spanning over three decades, she founded her private practice in Dombivli in 1988, specializing in ‘Hearing Care.’ Beyond therapeutic roles, she actively collaborates with educators, organizing camps for hearing check-ups and providing vocal hygiene guidance. Her dedication led to the establishment of a ‘Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Hearing Impairment,’ showcasing a commitment to addressing young individuals’ specific needs. She extends her impact through educational materials, empowering hearing aid users and contributing insightful articles to magazines and papers, fostering awareness and understanding of hearing health on a broader scale.

Ms. Gitanjali A. Palkar

Special Education Therapist

A postgraduate in special education for the hearing impaired, I achieved university ranks in B.Ed.(H.I.) and M.Ed.(H.I.) from the Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped, Mumbai. My research spans various projects at the institute, and I’ve served as a guest lecturer for B.Ed. (H.I.) courses and a resource person for CRE programs in Maharashtra. As a life member of NCED, I’ve presented papers at their annual conferences, and I’ve contributed as a unit writer for manuals of DSE, B.Ed., and M.Ed. special education for IGNOU and the Rehabilitation Council of India. Engaged in teaching children with hearing impairment at various levels, I specialize in individual therapy for young children using hearing aids or cochlear implants.

Mr. Bhushan Jirgale

Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist

A postgraduate in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (MASLP), he is an alumnus of the School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, Pune, and the Audiology and Speech Therapy School, Nair Hospital, Mumbai. With a fellowship in Voice and Swallowing Pathology, he serves as a consultant at P. D. Hinduja National Hospital, Mahim. Specializing in Speech and Swallowing Pathology, he focuses on the evaluation and intervention of Dysphagia, employing advanced strategies and equipment such as electrical stimulation.
